I don’t really get the difference but why don’t you use macros for that? You can achieve anything with macros and you can give shortcuts to a named macros. Macros are in the Edit > Macros menu. Add a shortcut to a macro in Settings , Key

That’s correct. Their new IDE, Fleet , pivoted to an AI first editor , but not sure if they have already released something.

Have you actually tried other languages?? I used Dart, Common Lisp, Java, Kotlin, Groovy and more and LLM seems to be as good at those as on Python.

That’s not how it works. Comptime Zig is Zig, not an embedded scripting language. You can’t run comptime code separately, it only runs as part of compiling a Zig program. Think of it like Rust macros.

The funny thing is that it would make more sense (going by our popular impression of what dinosaurs looked like) if dinosaurs were in the same lineage as crocodiles, not birds.

But that's so easy to fix! I can't believe people complain about stuff like this. The person making the PR could've told the AI "hey you can easily reduce the amount of code by using this technique" or whatever... o

Like we had done for the 10 years prior? Don’t think so. BTW the ai code is as readable as the human’s. Never had to call out people on the AI code being unreadable.

I am convinced human reviews are overhyped in the industry. We've done it in my company since we started it, and bugs keep happening. People are just terrible at spotting them in the middle of 100 lines of correct code. Machines, OTOH,

The traditional car makers have had a hundred years to learn how to make profit by selling cars. What evidence is there that Tesla knows something they don't and has profit margins higher than they have??

Wouldn’t the seq process keep writing to output until the output buffer of the pipe got full and then the next write would block and seq would just pause waiting for the write call to unblock? Or my understanding of piping is incorrect?

Looking at code looking for errors is a hard thing to do well for a large amount of code. A better approach is to ensure tests cover all the important cases and many edge cases. Looking at the code may still be a good idea but mostly to che

I was trying to follow similar rules, until one day I had to solve a hard mathematical problem. Claude is a phd level mathematician, I am not. I, however, know exactly the properties of the desired solution and how to test it’s correct. So
