Also related, Tom (Explosions & Fire/Extractions & Ire) has an in progress series of synthesising cubane (not octanitrocubane), in his shed. Whilst not as energetic as octanitrocubane, it is still an interesting molecule. http

Some Linux code is dual licensed, a lot of the DRM subsystem for example, I’m pretty sure GPU support on the BSDs are based on ports of it.

Confidential computing lets you reduce your TCB to the software running in your guest, be that a full OS like Linux or maybe some unikernel type thing, and the hardware itself. The intent is that a malicious host could not read or modify gu

I guess Apple have some sort of curation, or maybe don't use 7digital at all, because Apple Music shows no results for "From the box".

Clipping or culling? I expect it’s mostly the latter unless your camera ends up intersecting the geometry.

Even with a guard band don’t you need to at least test the polygons for Z clipping prior to the perspective divide? Clipping in X and Y is simpler at least, and again the guard band hopefully mostly covers you.

PowerVR was especially funky. They used planes to ‘carve’ out polygons. It meant that they could genuinely draw convex polygons with arbitrary numbers of side by using ~N+1 planes. I found it kind of cool to try and read through the simulat

Aren't they normally resistive screens? They don't have the same issues in wet weather as capacitive screens do.

Makes it easier, but you can't entirely avoid relocations. https://eli.thegreenplace.net/2011/11/03/position-independen... seems like a decent explanation.

The data I can find with a very quick google shows that higher vehicles are more dangerous to pedestrians and so the move towards SUVs and trucks has put pedestrians at higher risk . - https://www.iihs.org/news/detail&#

I guess you could include your own dynamic linker in your binary. Mmap the shared object, perform the relocations, etc. It seems like you could write a static library to do this so that the Redox itself doesn't need any specific suppor

Agreed, that’s what makes this kind of interesting personally. I tend to prefer smaller devices for travel, being able to get both that and more screen real estate would be pretty cool.

As well as the main Explosions and Fire channel there is also Extractions and Ire - run by the same person but less focused on energetics and often goes into more depth on the chemistry.
