Non-hardware hacker question: as the Pi is modified over time, does it need to be re-certified each time? Or is it certain components on the board that require this?

Don't give up. It is something that can be practiced and expanded into. I've struggled with poetry, but made a recent breakthru in finding a specific author. You may need a specific "seed" to get you into that place.

Absolutely unfortunate. I watched a short film last night, shot with an omni-copter -- and my mind just spun with the possible opportunities for the creative filmmaker -- let alone other industries this could impact. The film: http://vimeo

Hrm, I thought it was actually kind of nice. Soft, non-obtrusive and gave a lovely "alive" feel an otherwise cold page. In fact, does anyone know of any tutorials on how to do this?

The piano keyboard is actually pretty well-designed with a very consistent design. Every key (both black and white keys) is a half-step from each other. Learning scales sucks initially, but once mastered, the dance is easy and fun.

Seconding this. Dropbox is the first "backup" system I really, really like.

Sad that it isn't clear from the get-go that this is fictional. Points deducted.

Part of this is Apple's fault. In general, Apple needs to look at some alternative ways to get apps in front of iOS user's eyes. AppStore has been mostly untouched over its lifetime. I frequently scan the "Featured" category and "Top 25", b

Today, it seems like the bulk of the pilot's job is to get the plane in the air and then get it back on the ground. In 10 years, are we going to be at the point where a pilot's job is completely redundant? (Or maybe a fleet of planes is han

Could Facebook ever challenge Google as the place where people do their searches?

Noticed it, too. Pretty disappointing after waiting years to really be able to play with great typography. Especially painful coming from a Google site rendered inside a Google browser.

Yerp, in this economy, I can see loads of folks willing to pay for your expertise in this. Make it an online class, teach folks over the phone.

I wonder how effective it could have been with testing the ad copy. It certainly didn't catch my eye when reading this article. But getting a bunch of likes immediately after starting ads -- that's a great way to get things rolling!

Dropbox has now officially replaced "My Documents" on all my computers, Windows and Linux. I recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my gaming PC. When it finished up, I installed DropBox, logged in to my account and went to watch a movie. A coup

Ooh. This might be the beginning of JS/web-based synths. I'm curious what kinds of cool synths musicians might dream up and how the having synths on the web could make it different than anything before. Are browser-makers considering an API

Cool. I just bought the game to support the author in taking the time to write this article. I think we all remember early video games when being pixel perfect in landing a jump was enough to pull our hair out.

I haven't listened to the hearing, so I'm curious (and slightly facetious) -- when the RIAA inevitably flags videos on YouTube that are using copyrighted music -- will it be legally fairly simple for the industry to request a DNS take-down

The Fab mobile app is pretty sexy on iOS. I haven't seen many apps that get me excited about mobile shopping, but this one always has me giddy about what cool items they'll dig up next.

When I want to jump into a new interest, I usually spend a chunk of time at the beginning watching videos or grazing thru a manual. Even if I don't "get" everything yet -- knowing that Final Cut can do "X, Y, Z" and it's somewhere in the mi

I'm seeing zero information on what this software does, even when quickly scanning the homepage -- therefore, I'm hardly ready to commit 15 minutes to watching a video. What is Fire.js?
