I don't know why all airports don't offer something like 15 minutes of Wifi for watching an ad. Nothing drives me more nuts than being offering Wifi for $10 a day and only needing to check my email for a minute or two.

Yes. Totally amazing hack. The stuff I like to see here. (A few more tech details would be righteous but I'm sure the hackers here have ideas on how they could do the same thing.)

No specific feedback on the startup, but I don't care for it when folks send images via email. Put it online, where I have more control. I guess I do have advice: why not focus on a 1-click way for getting images onto a webpage they can ema

Twitter isn't your standard Rails application. It was hacked out with Rails because it was easy with Rails. Nobody clearly understood that Twitter wasn't a traditional Rails app until it was too late. The biggest scaling issue with framewor

The only disadvantage would be if the dollar continued to slide. But if you don't immediately need the capital and plan to return in the near future, I'd leave it overseas.

A new niche play might be to figure out how to adapt the dating genre to the iPhone. Maybe a GPS-based play. But I think the key continues to be -- find a good niche. But not so nichey that only 8 people are interested.

One of the things I learned while playing Warcraft was the importance of scalable interfaces. When I first started, I was lucky to get my character to move across the screen in a straight line. I didn't know what a mod was, I just wanted to

One of the advantages of Growl being run at the OS level is that all apps can fire to Growl and the user see it. An in-browser Growl is going to be limited to firing events only while the user is on the same page.
