For what it's worth, you're going to have to optimize away gel-packs somehow if you do want it to be handled in an eco-friendly way. The vast majority of people are going to throw those in the garbage. Sending them back to you is

This is essentially the model the Go community is aiming to do with versioning standards. It's also the philosophy the linux kernel takes to e.g. syscalls. It's something a lot of libraries could learn from. Most users want to bui

There have been claims that http2 pipelining means it's more efficient to serve bundles as separate files, unminified so they can be downloaded in parallel. (I haven't yet seen numbers that show it's a benefit in practice tho

The deluge of low quality, rebranded, foreign built junk is a real problem for Amazon. A search for food scale[0] for example gives you a whole page of similar (many exactly identical with different brand names) pieces of garbage - they hav

I really love parinfer when doing clojure. It makes lisp syntax kinda seem like writing python. Much more accessible to me that way.

12-14 year olds aren't going to be dropping 250 bucks a year. If you look at something like newgrounds, a lot of that was bored teenagers.

I suspect a lot of early internet amateur animators got started on pirated/shared versions of Flash. Probably helped the proliferation of that scene a whole lot. Cloud based service models make that much harder.

GCP does it by requiring a header on requests to metadata systems. Require a header on your internal services and make sure you never send that header with user-requested URLs and you can guarantee safety there.

I actually didn't realize it was doable (not a heavy rust user - just an enthusiast). Kinda hidden away in docs under an example [0] and isn't in the book under hash maps [1]. Might be worth calling out somewhere explicitly? Peopl
