This article only did one thing for me - demonstrate that the author himself doesn't understand Angular or the problems. I don't know Angular that well myself, but the author knew anything more than I did, he'd be able to spe

Wherever I've worked, the IT people protect their turf because they deal with end users who get MS Access or Excel, and then those end users get data from the company through force of management. They then create their own computer sys

I agree with this. And as an author and teacher, I really want to use iBooks Author for that reason, but it's incredibly limited in both what it allows and who can use the books. There's an opportunity for an authoring tool for th

All of these third-parry mod systems require a modified version. Bukkit did, and so does CanaryMod. Right now there's no official way to do modding so I suspect that this is their issue. And not releasing it allows them to generate a l

Learn to do your job correctly by experimenting. Read other people's code. Write other people's code. Learn by doing. Learn by failing. One of the things that I believe is incredibly important is a feedback cycle. Do a thing. See

Dave, I'm still in love with Skeleton, and 2.0 looks very nice. And it's great timing as I'm including it in the update to our web development recipes book. Keep up the awesome work.

I think the point you make about an editor is incredibly important. I've gotten quite a few books from self-published authors - including some pretty big names in the programming world - who are adamant that they can do it all themselv

Maybe I don't understand what you want to do, but for at least 3 years I've been able to load a video clip in, set up the settings, add to queue, load video, add to queue, repeat. Then process the whole queue overnight.
