At 16 if you are contributing to open source you are well ahead of lots of programmers with jobs so kudos to you. If I were you I would use this to my advantage by having the git repos etc on my resume + LinkedIn and then start searching

While this is easier said than done make sure you are breaking down the tasks into smaller modules with classes and unit testable methods. This test driven development may slow you down a bit and but it will provide you the best ROI(time) w
