If you're familiar with CSS, writing a decent stylesheet for it would be a big help. If you've no interest in JS/TS you could leave that part to me.

How much do you care? There's an open pull request you could give a little time to that would fix it by integrating a reader mode into Tridactyl here: https://github.com/tridactyl/tridactyl/pull/3306 : )

In France they start at about €800, or €500 when they're on offer. Depending where you live, how much paperwork you can cope with and how much you earn, the government will give you up to 50% of the purchase price back. Most of the cos

I don't have anything against golf as such, it's more that from a distance they looked like really nice little parks that people could use to walk between neighbourhoods, socialise, walk dogs, picnic in etc. Then I zoomed in and r

Hah, I've actually looked at Dallas-Fort Worth before and been horrified at how so much of its residential green space is golf courses. Is most of the conurbation as well served by non-car transport or is your area a special case? It l

I'll update the size of American supermarkets in my mind by 100% : ) There are broadly 5 big shops within comfortable distance of me - one of them is between 150-200,000 sqft [1], so I guess a mid-sized American store. But I've on

Thanks for replying, it's really fascinating. I think part of the difference is density - my city is only about 3km x 3km. If I cycled 5 miles I'd end up in the next town along. I just looked on TripAdvisor to see how many restaur

That sounds great, why aren't there more places like that in the US or why don't I hear about them? Do you find you have to use your car often? (Although living 2km away from a supermarket is an alien concept to me. I have three w

That's what I meant by energy mix : ) Last time I checked France was the best place since they accidentally have a very climate friendly power grid. Then you're left with just the embedded emissions from battery construction and t

The rule of thumb I've seen is that electric cars are about 25-75% better than fossil fuelled ones over their lifetimes, depending on energy mix and taking into account battery construction. So it's hardly nothing - it puts them r

As another comment mentioned, they're talking about using a technique that allows you to perform computations on encrypted data, with encrypted results output - the thing doing the computation never sees any decrypted data. So they cou

I think bindurl and unbindurl would solve most of your complaints: if you just want a few Tridactyl binds use blacklistadd then `:bindurl [URL] --mode=ignore ...`; if you want just a few webapp binds use `:unbindurl [URL] ...`. There's

I think a heatmap is a reasonable thing to measure. I just wish UX research was a little more scientific (by for example, coming up with multiple hypotheses and then conducting more experiments to eliminate them).

No, that's exactly how UX research works: - Users are using X feature a lot. 1) the researcher likes the feature: let's invest time into improving it. Or 2) the researcher dislikes the feature: we need to remove it because it'

Most of those problems could be solved by good noise insulation which is fairly cheap to add during construction. Terraced houses are common in the UK and are the worst of all worlds: poor noise insulation from neighbours, tiny dark gardens
