I know it's the lesser of two evils but I'd rather have quality vinyl off-gassing PVC than carpet emitting PFAS and trapping dirt.

Use paraquats and PFAs concentrated bio-waste to grow crops -> Widespread health issues Don't use fungicides -> Mycotoxins Doomed if you do and doomed if you don't. Honestly, eating cereal just isn't appealing anymore.

Is Feynman just the GOAT'd physicist, computer scientist, bongo-player, and teacher of all GOATs? I'd be inclined to believe so.

Exactly, expecting one shot 100% working code with one prompt is ridiculous at this point. It's why libraries like Aider are so useful, because you can iteratively diff generated code until it's useable.

You might be thinking of the General David Patraeus case, a national security leak that was slightly worse than Snowden's, but with little repurcussions :)

Descarte didn't say thinking implies self-consciousness. That saying is a thought experiment about the existance of self regardless of sensory stimulus, not a declaration of self-consciousness...

Honestly this quote is one of Chuck Palahniuk's best dialogues. Recommend checking out his other work like 'Rant.'

The free market did a terrible job incentivizing disassembly... Can't count how many no-screw assemblies have triggered me. The right-to-repair situation is a joke right now with automotive, consumer electronics, and appliances.

Higher liability means they need to extract more money from you. That's the point of insurance. See: wildfires in California and flooding in Florida causing insurers to pull out. Once the insurance companies lose money, the risk is too

False dichotomy, appeal to ridicule, and generalizations about climate change science in two sentences is impressive. Honestly one of the worst arguments I've read this year. Might be the witches talking though.

Same reason people virtualize dozens to hundreds of machines in one box, hardware efficiency. I don't understand this sentiment.

Arguing lack of one-to-one causation is really tone-deaf if you've been following the climate change conversation for any time now. Climate change is affected by multiple factors...

Reminds me of the Chinese hacking company leak a few weeks ago. Hack-a-Nation-State-as-a-Service and Hack-a-Service-as-a-Nation-State. The most predictable and boring dystopia. Like was anyone surprised Facebook was doing this?

Using pre-trained language models like the encoder and retrieval models mentioned [1] typically doesn't require writing a lot of code, but there are still a few steps involved. The retrieval model, [2], is hosted on the Hugging Face pl

Dear lord I haven't seen a DarkRP reference for 12-15 years. You just triggered a wave of memories evading the police, blowing up people's bases, and raiding the Mayor's office to jailbreak people.

Sugar is correlated to obesity which is correlated to all types of cancer. Not sure I fully understand this argument, as many people promote many things that are risk factors for cancer.

Gcov is great until higher-ups start demanding 100% line coverage, and you end up with hundreds of thousands of lines of unit tests. Then you gotta hire someone to check why the Jenkins builds are failing because some of your code isn'
