Well, given how Instagram has treated its android users can you blame them? I've seen a number of SV companies releasing ugly and buggy android apss then use their lowering android user base as a proof that android users use like their

Fire up edge mobile and see for yourself. It will let you use Reader but tells you that you should use Edge and that Reader is going away soon(IIRC)

Since you brought up your Pixel: what is the point of adding something 1% of your customers maybe can see instead fixing that horrible horrible compression that makes uploads from android (80% world wide market share) look like crap? (Not

Maybe it's a matter of taste, I prefer bitbucket to github any day of the week.

Well, so does Microsoft Edge (soon).

Good article, but awful modal ads on that site. Anyway, is anyone here using steamos or a steambox? Valve made a lot of noise about Linux but I haven't seen many people use it for gaming yet.

Sorry, I meant to write AppImage not flatpak. The point was that a lot of packaging would be done by the devs, allowing minutes maintainers to so more important stuff.

Thanks Riku, debian has become an excellent distro thanks to the hard work of people like you. At the same time, it is sad to see how much work you guys need to do for things that should have been automated or done by the original developer

Agreed, but you are also paying 1/3 of the price

By shipping. The are tons of issues that show up only after you have shipped so striving for perfection before shipping is pointless.

Sounds interesting... Do you have to change the bios run native Linux? Can you remove the boot nag screen without flashing the bios (as done with acers)?

Because pornhub stats are skewed towards services that ..ummm ... allow one handed use? Wouldn't that affect iPhone 7 vs 7+ numbers?

Look at their sampling methods. They use analytics from certain sites (news, social media, gov, ...) A lot of enterprises are beyond proxies and many places don't allow you to access internet outside a few select sites

Well, a significant number of osx machines in those places are mackintoshes' :) Not that it changes anything

Android popularity is due to it's multi vendor nature. You don't like the latest Sony? Then buy HTC or moto or Xiaomi or whatever. You will even keep your apps and settings. Your problem with Windows was really due to lack of this

It also shows what a solid OS Windows NT has been :) Also there are many valid reasons to not upgrade from NT...

I think the actual Linux market share is higher. I know a lot of enterprises that have switched to Linux (for reason completely unrelated to the os itself).

That is an odd thing to say. Almost everyone at HMD are former Nokia employees.

I don't think you have ever used a Lumia 800. While inferior to SII on paper, it was significantly better in actual use. It sold okay, but was abandoned by Microsoft and never updated past 8.3

All this is really easy to fix: 1. Buy a smart TV 2. Don't connect it to your Wi-Fi 3. Buy a Chromecast
