Indeed. Many high-end Android phones have HDMI too, but the interface is not replicated on big screen AFAIK.

Landing is almost never done by autopilot. Approach is. When the runway is in sight Pilot Flying has to take over from the autopilot, and gently put the wheels on the ground. Computers are still not very good at it, especially not when ther

What corporate culture? All I know is that Southwest has pilot union, they get competitive salary and they love their airline. How come SW (or JBLU) don't have same issues as legacy carriers?

There still isn't 100% GSM coverage in Asia - the most densely populated continent, let alone Africa and S. America. There are many many places that will never see GSM coverage. So I wouldn't write satellite communications off just yet. Cou

I love it how you're being downvoted (your excellent comment pointing out the flaw in this study was at the top initially) without a single refutation! Speaks a lot about the values of this community and the karma system!

The problem here is that Amazon/Rackspace/other VM infrastructure providers actually do market them as application platforms, not platforms to run VMs. Nobody really cares that you have OS underneath all this, all people want to do is run s

Yes. I think nobody here argues that heroin should be legalized. But for lighter drugs legalization should clearly include ban on their advertisement (or, in fact, provision that tax revenue from their sale be spent on anti-advertisement)

I've heard report that attack was actually revealed by whistleblower from Saudi Arabia. Good job unknown US and UK secret agencies for taking credit for saving the World, again!

Pot was almost legal in Netherlands since 70s, yet very few countries followed suit. What makes California so special that it will make the end of cannabis prohibition viral? I'm highly skeptical.

I would be very surprised if people 200, 150, 100, 50 years ago didn't think that things are getting worse and worse with government spending. And yet somehow America grew to become the World Power, long-lasting businesses were created, gov

I'm pretty sure even the first prototype had much deeper psychological meaning than what's being presented. Heck, I was in a college at the time too and I think I know fairly well why so many guys tried to do their versions of "face book".
