Being treated like garbage and a job inherently being shitty aren’t the same thing. People seem to confuse that. All this is doing is driving automation at a faster pace and the people who once did the jobs will now have something new to co

Sure call it out but not working is what im talking about. Life is always unfair. I started working in 2009 I am familiar with shit jobs that pay nothing.

I really don’t get this attitude. Are people just too full of themselves today to do menial work? I have a good job now but from before high school to after college I worked jobs in places were the customers were rude and treated you like

I have worked with people like the author. They suck. They destroy entire teams and often times the feedback is 99% pedantic personal preferences because why would they do something useful like setup the linter and propose the silly things

My family is pretty politically diverse and I would say none of them are ever happy with that is going on over the last 10+ years outside of a few things. Its just people making a choice about what they hate less.

I like the idea behind this but I wouldn’t even put this in a small project. I don’t want to break functionality just because.

No I’m likely too dumb for them but my code base is clean and easy to onboard people to. I take great pride in new hires telling me something is easy to do after only working in it a week And like i said generics have a place its just a way

If i wanted or needed generics i would use another language. I have been able to write great code without them for 5 years now though. But now i get to defend my codebases from the unneeded introduction of them from largely developers who t

I refuse to even click on the above link or any headline with similar sensationalism. If this is the direction news is going to keep going i can only see how fun life is going to be in the future. Anything you say will be so triggering to s

Wow more headlines trying to cause panic. When will this end its so mentally draining. At this point im sure the reporting on covid is causing just as many mental health issues as covid itself.

Hard to read this it’s just way too editorialized by the author. We get it you’re mad about the pandemic and how it’s handled. Supposedly being a doctor gives you more credibility but only on vaccinations not on public health policy. Anyway

Yep it’s actually one of the things i love. If waiting for go compile time has gotten to be a problem it is time for tests or to refactor if a test can’t be easily written.

I’ll read the article again with this in mind but on first read it didn’t come across as trying to convince of anything other than using the gini coefficient isn’t insightful and he pointed out the flaws as he sees it.

I think you will find in many places of life people are just trying to make a quick buck but in crypto this truth seems to cause a visceral reaction for people. One of the problems crypto has is that it would be really hard to make a curren

It’s not currently deflationary. It has less inflation over time yes but the two aren’t the same. I don’t see why you think anyone is lording this over someone. The blog just addresses that the gini coefficient doesn’t fit well here. You ca

Its honestly not worth arguing about it. I have personally benefited with driving for uber as well as lots/most of drivers i have talked to. Its not perfect but it works great when you have kids and other things you have to worry about
