Fully understood, this carefully engineered vendor lock-in is the cherry on the cake. It's in all CAD software for no reason and forces you to follow the herd. Open standards should be imposed by state actors...

That's dirt cheap for a software you can make a living off. For FEA or CFD one would need to shell off in the order of 50-100k plus 20k per year. 1500? I would.

The tool is great, it's what you can build with it that has a tendency to end up in an horrid unmaintainable vba mix kludge.

I could not use the Itanium server we had at work as it was reserved for the elite. I can say that my 32 bits single core P4 computer was not faster at number crunching.

To my understanding Intel tried to move from x86 with Itanium. That's the consumers who wanted it to linger around.

That would be ok if git gave the option to track branches in subfolders and leave other branches alone. I had a look at submodules but I'm not clever enough to understand how it could help me.

Idle consumption made me lean toward a rk3588 vs a n100. Half the single thread performance though. Supported by dietpi, so no issue with the os.

Well, if one is stupid enough to get a race car with telemetry then the spying is deserved. The skill level is irrelevant insurance-wise, as it doesn't last, varies within the day, and is of no use on open, shared streets. Now the drea

Can’t stop fearing that messing with the living like that is going to badly backfire at some point. The sad aspect is that it’s solely for frivolous reasons and profit. But damn, these petunias are cool.
