Fashionable problems are the ones for which you'll have the easiest time recruiting employees, raising funding and generating press coverage, even taking into account that their fashionability leads others to pursue them.

The problem with this: out/image-id: $(shell find src -type f) is that if you delete a file from src (without also modifying or adding a file), make won't consider image-id to need rebuilding

That would help, but I think the root problem here (of the debugging difficulty, not the actual perf problem) is the Windows approach of having lots of unrelated services running together in a single process (svchost)

A common reason people don't do it the way you're suggesting is dogma about code coverage. If the code has branches for each possible case, and then an "else" to cover anything else (which raises an exception indicating

I've never seen "landed" used as in the second sentence, but I was definitely able to understand from context that it was not being used to mean the same thing as in the first sentence.

Don't the majority of people still watch TV on their TV? I don't care if their service runs on my computer because it's confirmed they will have an app for PS4, which is how I already watch Netflix and Hulu. I know there are

But exactly because it's easier to "stumble upon" the right answer, I think this may be worse for games. I like feeling as if it's necessary to come up with the solution in my head and then do it. It's not satisfyin

I have Google Wifi and its mostly been great. I don't think it makes sense if you don't need mesh; the whole point of the thing really is that it is the easiest way to set up a home mesh network (or maybe it isn't, but in the

The basis for investing should be connecting companies that actually need money with the money they need. If a company is already making enough money to fund its whole operations plus make a profit that it can use to grow, and it isn't

I use jupyter notebook for Scala. I like having the same repl software for multiple languages. The kernel I use (almond) is based on Ammonite, but I believe there are others out there.

There was a super interesting article in the New Yorker a few years ago about the smuggling of unreleased albums out of CD manufacturing plants back in the day. Your experiences remind a lot of that: https://www.newyorker.com

I try to use PS4 Pro as my "smart TV", but I end up having to use the TV itself (which runs Roku) sometimes because of its larger app base. You can't watch Starz through PS4. You can watch Amazon Prime, but not in 4k.
