How is Windows dead? How else does over a billion people access tools like Chrome and Google Docs, if not through Windows? iPads? Android Tables? Windows don’t have to be the dominant force, they just have to exist as the glue (or foundatio

Really? For me only 1 of them connects to the Mac, the other one doesn’t recognize the Mac.

Offtopic: if you plug in a pair of Apple ear/headphones into the headphone jack on the OWC, can you control the volume via the built in controls on the cable of the headphones, like you can when connected to the Macbook?

Tho, LiveWire is AJAX, while LiveView and Stimulus Reflex are Sockets. LW is a pleasure to work with for small pieces of interactivity.

This is amazing, congratulations! As someone who’s been struggling with excess weight, I’d love these interviews to focus more on HOW they achieved the results and the struggles they overcome (and how) along the way! Hopefully 2021 is the y

Interesting, forcing mobile Safari to pretend it’s a desktop solves the issue.

What’s worse, Reddit disables NSFW/porn content in Incognito on iOS Safari and prompts you to install the app. How that got past Apple is beyond me.

Good luck, there is a new “we are fixing freelancing” startup coming out every week. Unless you’ve actually been freelancing for years on multiple platforms + actually worked in Core Ops within those networks + worked in traditional recrui

I have mild astigmatism and dark themes simply don’t work for me. macOS dark mode gives me nausea. For me it’s old school plain white IDE.

This feels more inline with Windows Dark Mode (since Github is a Microsoft company).

Beyond ML, can GCP even compete? They will never be able to catch up to AWS, and Azure is growing super fast.

At this point, why is anyone relying on Google APIs (or even GCP!) for serious work? It feels like Google is contempt with Search, Ads and Android.

Personally, I feel Laravel is amongst the top reasons why PHP is so vibrant. The amount of innovation that sprung from Laravel and it’s close ecosystem is amazing, LiveWire, Inertia, Alpine.js, Tailwind just to name a few.

Apparently most people think stuff just happens on the first run. I write code for a living and in most cases it doesn’t run as intended on the first run, I can’t imagine making a fucking fusion reactor “just work” by assembling it and pres

But bicycles don’t cause air pollution nor do they damage the roads. So you got me puzzled why they should be taxes. Pedestrians are taxed too much anyway

But you still need to maintain existing and build new roads, and not only trucks drive on the road. What about snow? It needs to be removed for normal cars as well as trucks.

The exact problem is the 99% of people who DON’T do this and their markup ends up a Frankenstein’s monstrosity. I don’t know if it’s the new crop of front-end “developers” who don’t know the very basics or just hipsters being hipsters and Y

Gamers are mostly young adults without a steady income (or no income of their own) and market research shows $60 is the psychological limit the mass market is willing to pay?

Both! I find Vue easier because it feels more like the old days of jQuery and AngularJS (HTML templates etc).

Why does “poorly edited English” matter when the content seems to be on point? Not everyone on the Internet is a “native” English speaker. Content matters, not who and how they wrote it.

Well, not from a PR standpoint (and the author may not even be aware of what’s up with Nikola lately), but it’s used in production which is a huge positive.
