You can. They sell pellet guns at Walmart. Good ones that will kill a squirrel. From experience understand giving one to kids will likely end with a pellet through a window or through a shoe.

I’m all for the tip I just want us to keep our semantics clean and encourage/require companies to keep the base pay worked directly into the cost of services. I see some people have different definitions than me but defining tips as d

Good point. I’m interested in starting tip-shame shaming movement. Hope you’ll join when we realign incentives. Cheers.

The only one I’d change is the 10% tip should be named as a fee. I think our tipping culture is okay but I’d like us to move to calling them delivery fees so we can keep the idea of the tip as a pure bonus between me and those serving me. I

I think much of what went well in America had much to do with civil society. I believe we collectively figured out there’s likely no god and mistakenly assumed everything that went along with the whole community & church system was to

Ft. Worth cut capacity in half. No ones coming in anyway. The city is probably just trying to buy a couple weeks before going all in.

I am obviously not addressing whether it's true or saying the argument must be wrong. I'm pointing out there's some circular reasoning here that's unexamined in most online discussions about UBI. I am pointing out th

This is what bothers me most about arguments against UBI. They seem to have baked into them an assumption that any reduction of inequality will be eaten by rents. Then it follows that the only thing is to balance concentrated private eco

That’s just a UBI with a different mechanism. The problem here is most proposals for negative income tax pay out annually rather than monthly (you specifically do not), and fail to account for people who do not work but otherwise provide u

That would be wonderful. One of the reasons I liked recent UBI proposals is because it jury are nonwage replacing but would do a lot to balance out the understood value of low-training-&-skilled-physical jobs.

I see this all the time as the response to the argument that people rely on these jobs. The difference will be if, like England, the replacement jobs are more valuable by having greater leverage and impact. Or, as I suspect, the replaceme

I shouldn’t have been so hyperbolic. Basically PG was a huge part of HN back then. You’ll see a lot of people writing as if they know him and everything by him or the likes of Steve Blank was voted to the top.
