yes, but if im stil up to date on that, it has its own gui frameworks that your app is tied to forever. Might aswell write the app in Cocoa or Win32 then. Correct me if Im wrong, can you deploy your client side web app as a desktop applicat

Does Air still require a shared runtime component to be installed beforehand? We all know how well that worked with Java.

Thanks, probably some search and replace will do most of the boring stuff. Since it follows the classical pattern already the structure of the code will be mostly the same, but with a lot less dense syntax :-) Im concerned about adding a co

I feel my curly-brace intertia softening a bit lately, so Im considering converting Orbium to CoffeScript. The game has "classes", like this: https://github.com/bni/orbium/blob/gh-pages/js/tile.js https://github.com/bni/orbium/blob/gh-pa

Would be useful for me if it supported mobile browsers. Maybe bring up the logging GUI by doing a "secret" gesture?

Is it possible to do a single page web app now? By this I mean a single index.html+js files that feeds itself from REST services. In alpha 3 the stoppers for this was sending paramters between "jquery mobile pages (divs)", and also listview

Here in Sweden, the iPad 2 costs less on introduction than the iPad 1 did. Possibly favourable dollar value with regard to the swedish krona did that.

Sorry about the lack of instructions... Collect 4 marbles of the same color in each rotating device to explode the device. Explode all the devices to proceed to the next level. There is a time limit.

Is there any information about the Android browser in there? For example have they fixed the very slow non accelerated canvas and CSS3 translate? This is one area where iOS is miles ahead of Android currently and I would very much like to s

Nokia had something good gooing with Maemo on the N900, they should just have pushed on with that. They had a software platform that was competitive with iOS, technology wise. Lighter, smaller and sexier phones with the Maemo software, it w

I think so too, probably the artists at Apple is producing these higher res assets for a future iPad with retina display. They already know it will happen at some point. But not for this upcoming revision.

Yes, and the problem is not JavaScript performance per se. The problem is slowness in the canvas implementation in several browsers. In my game 90%+ is spend drawing to canvas. In some cases its better to use the DOM to render the game, esp

I have found that the performance you get with canvas as opposed to using a DOM based rendering varies greatly with the device and rendering engine that your code runs on (shouldnt be a suprise really). For my game I have encapsulated reder

I read the source some on github to try to figure out what the "iOS backend" is, but couldnt find any. Is it a native code layer to render canvas faster? like: http://www.phoboslab.org/log/2010/10/impact-for-ios

I feel that "view source" is one the best features of the web and JavaScript, so I never obfuscate/compile/minify my code. If someone is interested and takes the time to read my code, why deny them. What are you doing in JS that is so speci

Thanks for the benchmarks, I know the tradeoff for using this pattern. Im aware of that the function is defined in each object, and that it takes up memory. I dont agree that the memory is leaked, it is reclaimed when the object is deleted.

Recently I have been having a good time developing a large program with this classical inheritance pattern. Person = function() { this.say = function(phrase) { console.log(phrase); }; Person.prototype.say = this.say; };
