You are suggesting that there are more cultural differences between France and England, than between France and Poland. I wouldn't say so.

I honestly don't understand, software and math are obviously two different things. What should I learn about this ?

yes and do you know about proxycommand ? let you set up hops when you don't have direct access to a server. e.g. if you don't have direct access to serverB but have direct access to a serverA that has direct access to serverB put this in

I disagree, the fact that there exist a particular scenario that does not lead to the optimal situation does not legitimate the fact that it's ok to profit from poor people in general.

Software is not math. Math and software are two different things. It is true that most programs are a solution to a problem that can be formalized with math. However all math is not software and software deals with a lot of issues informal

People are usually aware of the Sun's effect on their body but they don't know much about radiations emitted by cell phones, hence the paranoia.

> The day Facebook, or Google, or anyone actually decides to do something evil, it will look ugly. Will they ? Don't know. Even if they don't they can get hacked (c.f. psn). This is the worst problem IMO.

> Build an engine based on Raytracing, Voxels, particles, Signed Distance fields, vorenoi patterns, or something else we haven't seen. Yes, back then graphics and gameplays were carefully designed in consideration of the 3D engine limit

I guess that Lamby means that one should not use "weight" instead of "mass", the two being two very different concepts.

A (pure) function is a mathematical concept. Saying a pure function can have side effects is like saying a line has a thickness because no one can draw a line with no thickness.

The figures are very insufficient to draw any conclusion. How was the trafic before the first of august ? Also, a decrease from 3% to 2% during summer has many possible explanations.

Do you have any plan to deal with non disjoint items... that would be an interesting problem to solve. eg, you have the following : emacs 30 vim 20 vi 15

I am not sure I understand your point (that's honest) : The article claims that we don't need iPads to improve our productivity, and you say you bought one mostly because it's a joy to use it. How is it contradictory ?

Well then Wolfenstein3D should be Wolfenstein4D EDIT : I would say the number of dimensions is roughly the number of coordinates you need to store the position of a sprit in the game. (In this sens, Wolf3D is not real 3D since the third dim

However, optimization comes from "re-coupling" very often. see for example : monolithic kernels (monolithic, fast) vs micro kernel (decoupled, slow). If you really want something efficient, you'll have to think about it from the very begin

No, the single word password is based on a dictionary word with some chars replaced by other visually similar chars. That's much less than 8^255.

Take a piece of assembly code generated by a compiler and try to optimize it. You'll see that you don't actually need to be that smart to obtain a significant perf improvement. Compilers are good, but they must ensure correctness for any so
