Right, because Google likely has a tremendous codebase which would prove difficult and costly to port. If they were making a decision today and had no existing python systems, do you think they'd choose the version that's going to

I'm totally with you. I haven't managed to get tmux copy paste to behave like I'd like it to, so I have a bind to toggle the mouse on or off, then use the alacritty functionality to copy. It's clunky to say the least. I

While I don't like seeing people flame op for making a choice of technology, electron boils down to a trade-off between the developer's convenience and the end user's computing power. I think it's pretty reasonable for t

Alacrity is intended to be used with a multiplexer like tmux, at least for now. I doubt you'll see tab support any time soon, if ever.

Now I'm not too experienced, so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a signal strength reading part of the wireless protocol? If your signal strength takes a consistent dive over a small period of time (as you walk out of the b

I was trying to highlight that the need to find the target for insertion or deletion was still a notable operation, not as an afterthought. Sorry it came out that way! That said, you still might need to perform a similar operation to find t

Insertion and deletion are prime examples, often requiring you to move large chunks of memory. The same operation just requires pointer changes (after finding where you want to insert or delete). I think in this example it would be common t

Why is this? Is it because it is easier to categorize users as opposed to content, or do ads perform better when targeted to specific audiences? If I had to guess I'd think that audience targeted adverts would perform better, but here

While I agree that Google is likely more trustworthy, I think it is naive to think Google does not sell your information; that's how they make money, right?

You have to go a fair way to run anything on wsl, much more than "one click". Also, there's not much that you can do in bash that can't already happen in batch/powershell, with perhaps a little more effort.

Port scanning itself is obviously not dangerous, however I believe the author is imagining a situation where a user on the other side of a corporate firewall views a webpage which then portscans from the inside then sends the results home&#

How about a whitelist of hardware fingerprints, similar to what Microsoft does with Windows installations. Also, Google is known to have custom manufactured hardware, specifically with security in mind. I don't think the idea that Goo
