I personally dislike Apple's skeuomorphic designs and find them very distracting. I in general do not like skeuomorphism in nearly any application.

Skeuomorphism goes in the other extreme direction though. One doesn't need flat design or skeuomorphism. There's a nice balance of UI elements that sit in the middle. I think Windows 7 was probably a good example of just straight

Paul Graham really likes hearing himself soeak, so it's weird he was quiet on this until now. One would have assumed that he was tired of hearing this way back last year. And his previous statements have indeed pointed more to it being

This seems revisionist, doesn't it? The articles claiming this came out last year and Graham didn't return requests for comments or make any statements then. So why now? Why wasn't there more details when Altman left Y Combin

That's not what I was talking about. What venture capitalists do is figure out which companies and products that they can market and sell. That doesn't say anything about what people need. People can be and are marketed and sold a

None of that has anything to do with anything. A person can be wrong, no matter who they are. Saying the wealthy don't have cash vaults and instead invest it in society is explicitly and intentionally manipulative of the real situation

None of that really has anything to do with the discussion and is completely melodramatic, as someone else mentioned. However, we have indeed ended up in a hell-hole. Again, as someone else mentioned, the U.S. in the early 20th century rose

That's all very generous. Who actually needs greater than 90% of the startups coming out of Silicon Valley and the surrounding areas? Their products just get hyped up and shoved down peoples' throat. And you're wrong. These

I suppose that would be a reasonable reason on a practical level. However, how is a board liable for that? The CEO lies and intentionally withholds information, employees strangely hold the company hostage, and yet it's the board held

I answered that scenario though. I'm fine, as a board, letting employees who want to hold the company hostage over a CEO that the board fired walk. The board's major mistake was not communicating why he was let go. My guess is tha
