Education would be her preferred landing spot, it just doesn't seem viable for the work/life balance she's aiming for. Customer success roles are definitely on the radar, just getting through the resume filter has been tough.

Splitwise might work for you. I've used it for parties that multiple people contribute to. Everyone just adds what they've spent and at the end you click a button to "settle up". It's not really a budgeting app, tho

As a solo founder, I doubt there are any other platforms that make economic sense to support, especially if it pulls effort away from the real money makers. Depending on the market, Linux wouldn't even make sense to support for most co

Edit: This isn't a commentary on Peloton specifically, but all of the S-1 posts we've been seeing on HN recently. I wouldn't interpret this behavior as success per se. I think a significant motivating factor for going public

At work we have Office and I decided to give One Note a try. The note taking itself is awesome, but I kept running into an issue where copying and pasting would copy images of what I had highlighted instead of just the text of the notes...

And many stores' customer-facing inventory systems are not reliable, or only updated every 24 hours. If there is only 1-2 of an item in stock, there's a decent chance it's actually sold out.

As someone who works in healthcare software, I wouldn't interpret "Baby Boy" that way. Different hospitals process information in different ways and it is very common for newborns to all be entered under the same, generic nam

Things that are missing: 1. A group of pinned emails in one place. I can star things, and they end up in "Primary". But if I then go to the "Promotions" or "Updates" folder and select all -> archive the star
