Thank you for some truly wonderful memories! Back in school, my goal was to join Ensemble Studios. I was really disappointed to hear that it shut down. I'm now in the games industry and I owe it mostly to Age of Empires!

Not really. Android apps are still HUGE (~60MB for an empty project). I'm waiting for them to optimize for mobile before getting into it. About the HTML5 build, I read that they were waiting for a fix on Emscripten itself.

I think they were using libGDX* previously for the rendering - that could explain the layout-related problems. *I can't see any references to it now, but previously one of their job postings required knowledge of libGDX.

This is not true. There is no such thing as UDK any more. You need to pay $19/month for full source code access to the engine. You could however pay for just one month, cancel your subscription and continue using whatever you have down
