Maybe stop applying and start working at headhunters that look to place you even for temporary work? That's how I started back in 2010. I'd work for a place for a few months and if they liked me, I was given a position. When I wor

100%. Other than the millions of innocent we killed, this is the worst part of 9/11. This and surveillance... 9/11 really opened up the flood gates to abuse.

What's annoying is that this tech already existed for LCD screens. It supposedly had deep black that OLED brings but at LCD prices. If the quality is similar / no better, it's frustrating to see tandem tech never made it out

Why would the average consumer car about intelligence of a foreign state? I, for one, have no fear of China presently but the climate in the USA isn't very pro free speech.

Don't feel stupid, feel a little angry. The only thing you could have done to prevent this was not buy a Kia.

I suppose I'm referring to people with established credit. I know when I was 22, I already had 7 years of credit history and was maxed out at 1k, then they upped it. I reached 2k at one point. I constantly received laters for credit ca

If you're taught it early, then people have a chance. The problem is that credit is predatory. If you're barely scraping by but paying your minimum, I believe most lenders will slowly increase your limit as long as you're cur

You don't hear people saying, man, that asbestos and lead did a bang up job on X. But you 100% see 100% of women wearing stretchy pants. For the longest time I exclusively wore cotton jeans and then they became impossible to find and I

From clothing? Do you have any idea how prevalent it's become? It is hard/impossible to find clothes without traces of plastic.

That's the trick, "At a time that's best for me". If I could work like 2 hours in the day and 4-5 at night, I'd have killer productivity, both home and work life.

I don't agree at all. You're describing a trade school. A university does not care if you get a job. They only care that they've satisfied your academic interests enough to stay in the profession or continue your education. T

Yep, work can provide a lot of value to the mind and general day to day well being but at its core, it's all a facade and at some point, everyone realizes it but by then, the biological clock ticked past to the point of no return.

I looked at my karma and it dropped a point. I thought, did I post something negative? Then I come to this huge thread my comment spawned. Glad one person got what I was trying to say. Wish you the best.

That would push my point even further. Work gave her solace, why find a husband? I can do it. Why breed? I can have animals. Why be a mother? Work is work and working for a corporation makes me happy. Yet she died at her work for what? Yes,

Kind of sums up how people continue to give their lives; their most important years to corporations for self worth and validation when in reality, you mean nothing to them. You're invisible.

I absolutely hate the visibility of all forms of gambling. I hate going into a bar and seeing the big, bright machines that remind my children of Candy Crush. I agree with the overall sentiment here, if gambling is to be legal, it should be
