Why do we need to push a single means as the "right" one? All these existed pre-internet, no reason why they can't or shouldn't continue to exist now.

So if I look at most codebases, someone would be able to explain what all the code does and why it does that way? I'm extremely sceptical of that, even if I myself wrote the code 3 weeks ago.

Calling this a checklist is probably confusing. It's better described as a list of answers you should obtain. For example "Has a co-founder stepped down?". A single yes or no answer doesn't tell you much. But an answer l

Yeah, I don't think the concept works in this case because it's too noisy. But I don't think it's "silly". Everything's silly until it becomes normal.

At the point you create the data, you don't have link rot. At the point you create the link rot, you don't notice it. At the point you notice it, you don't have time to fix it. At the point you try to fix it, you don't h

Not the OP’s reason it seems, but I have to delete Xcode quite more frequently than you’d think because it gets into a weird state during updates. This seems to happen once or twice every year.

Technicallly, this is great. The UI is nice as well. But... if it were my dream job, I'd definitely put more effort into the cover letter. I'd use it to say why this is my dream job, rather than simply re-stating what's on my

There are 2 methodologies with very similar names. “Agile” is recommended by big consultancies. It aims to improve managers’ control of processes and costs by removing autonomy from those doing the implementation. It does this using templat

I learned Angular with v1. When v2 came out, it was so different I had to learn a new framework either way. I went with React because it was the one gaining the most traction. I think that’s what happened writ large.
