This is absolutely not how the stock market works. Market cap is not based on book value.

Indeed. The situation was caused by a combination of the reckless investing that SVB did, the FED failing to raise interest rates earlier, and irresponsible amounts of government spending.

This makes complete sense, however, why would big banks not want to compete against SVB by establishing a smaller division that handles startups? Obviously, the market is small compared to their usual markets, but there is still a lot of go

I have always wished that companies would tie their status pages to their monitoring systems, but alas, they don't due to PR concerns and overall disingenuousness.

What a gross trivialization of the chip design process. If all a company had to do was get first in line for TSMC's process, Intel would drop all their fabs and just pay that money to TSMC to beat AMD.

It's just another basic economic effect of having too much money supply in the system. Governments printing too much money at a fast rate is the core reason of why inflation happens.

ChatGPT has become the place that people go when they don't want to write something and don't know what to write. It's not unlikely that Jennifer Tejada used ChatGPT.

To a cynical curmudgeon, it is a pyramid scheme for 100% of startups. To normal people, it is a pyramid scheme when you have a company like Theranos, which represents a very small percentage of dishonest founders in technology, overall.
