Drag and drop application building like .net Winforms. The productivity boost of quickly making forms and only coding the button actions is unmatched. No "RAD" web framework on the web is anything near that.

Computer where only cool for a small subgroup, now they are not cool. They are as cool kitchen appliances are. They are mostly a tool to solve problems, mostly problems that can generate revenue for smart business minded people.

The problem with doing that is that it sometimes can drift for several minutes and thats super annoying when you are working on something, it really slows down you productivity.

i have an x1 carbon and i hate it. There is an bug with the trackpoint and mouse pad that makes the pointer drift randomly. I have had my computer back and forth and replaced everything. It still drifts

i recommend doing forum software with cgi. it's fun and challenging. After that there are plenty of stuff you can do with gtk. over the years I have a bunch of small gtk c applications that ranges from mp3 players to rss readers.
