not very convincing. The lack of CCP-imposed restrictions is hardly an inimitable differentiator. The unfortunate truth is that HK's cultural and economic importance is so diminished that the government is not that afraid of the curren

I think this is very well said. Even as a Chinese-American born and raised in the US I feel unease with many aspects of the western narrative. It is very easy for me to see how things could be interpreted as xenophobia and/or arrogance

data.table is amazing. after getting over the learning curve i pretty much never touched dplyr again. pandas... lol. Hopefully https://github.com/h2oai/datatable lives up to its counterpart managing python dependencies

I encourage you to talk to some Chinese-Americans, at least they will have some understanding of both viewpoints unlike all the Western and Chinese media coverage out there

I should have fleshed out my comment for sure, was in a bit of a rush! first off I found it interesting to frame R as being presented as an improvement over python. should be the other way around. python for DS came second, and was supposed

for anything involving concrete deliverables and obligations, I really like having a written log. Like you say, it also forces communication to be more explicit. It's easy to handwave details away in voice. OTOH something like story id
