I fully believe there are misguided leaders advocating for "increasing velocity" or "productivity" or whatever, but the technical leaders should be pushing back. You can't make a ship go faster by removing the hull.

There is, in fact, a harness built into the Claude Code CLI tool that determines what can and cannot be run automatically. `rm` is on the "can't run this unless the user has approved it" list. So, it's entirely the user&

Who is normalizing merging ANYTHING, LLM-generated or human-generated, without QA or review? You should be reviewing everything that touches your codebase regardless of source.

I wish I could just ship 99% AI generated code and never have to check anything. Where is everyone working where they can just ship broken code all the time? I use LLMs for hours, every single day, yes sometimes they output trash. That’s wh

Yeah… that’s the point of LLMs: variable output. If you’re using them for 100% consistent output, you’re using the wrong tool.

This seems pretty aggressive considering this is all just personal anecdote. I update my CLAUDE.md all the time and notice the effects. Why all the snark?

Again I just tap the sign. All of your benchmarks mean nothing to me until you include Claude Sonnet on them. In my experience, GPT hasn’t been able to compete with Claude in years for the daily “economically valuable” tasks I work on.

That's an unfair representation of the situation. There's nothing about this device that implies "disposable". The EU is definitely the problem here. I think the problem is the EU loves legislating entrepreneurial creati

Is it really that much better than Claude? Claude has been my daily driver for a couple years now and I imagine if Gemini was THAT much better, I would’ve heard about it by now.

Assuming a grad income of $80k is an insane starting assumption. MAYBE you’re making that in software (good luck getting your foot in the door). Any other industry? Biology? Social sciences? Academia? Manufacturing? I struggle to think of a

As an Apple Stan, I don’t understand what you’re referring to. MacOS is light years ahead of Windows in so many arenas, I’m not really sure what you could be referring to when you say “stagnation”. Every OS ever released has issues at launc

Willful ignorance doesn't change the facts. California could fall off into the ocean and the United States wouldn't blink. But keep livin' in your bubble if that's what makes you happy.

This frame assumes several things: 1. Americans are not displeased with the situation. Ironically, I think this is one place most Americans agree there is a problem. The solution is the hard part because: 2. This presumes a drop-in solution

No, you don’t. But I appreciate you shilling for them. If you did, provide the news article on it, because the Dems would LOVE that kind of firepower. Lack of any news articles would be VERY strong evidence that it hasn’t happened.

No one is deporting immigrants. They’re deporting illegal aliens. Big difference.
