Photoshop is incredibly powerful, but not for interactive design. - type rendering looks nothing like any browser or OS (as described in the article) - subpixel rendering makes drawing shapes and lines with clean edges a chore. - direct sel

Agree that emulating browser type rendering isn't necessarily good in the long term, but why not build in support for a variety of different type rendering engines? Adobe is halfway there with Smooth, Strong, Crisp, etc... they could simply

Imagine the problem was with ATT (not hard to imagine), and Jobs sends the CEO an email expressing his dissatisfaction, to which the CEO replies, "Retire, relax, enjoy your family. It is just a phone. Not worth it." I wonder how Steve would

I'm not saying tap-to-click is the optimal paradigm, only that I had to employ it as a means of avoiding the shoddy trackpad button.

It's definitely a subjective thing, but I think it just sucks. I set my machine to "tap-to-click" within a few minutes.

Yeah I upgraded mainly for the new Mail features (grouped conversations and archiving for gmail). The phone isn't jailbroken, but I'm going to try a full restore and see what happens.

The study says refined carbs are bad — that's an important distinction. Also, some research (The China Study, for example) suggests that proteins (not fat) from animal-based foods are a cause of heart disease (and cancers).

I care about pixel density, because you can't improve interface definition without increasing pixel density. I think the improved interface definition is implied when people talk about pixel density, hence Apple's term,"retina display." Th

It's rather telling that they're marketing Digg as a way to get traffic. Yes, it's good for that that, but that's not what it's for . It's (well, used to be) for finding interesting news, articles, links, etc. Getting more people to post t

I don't think your logic makes sense. First, it takes ~3 lbs of grapes to make a bottle of wine (and the grapes aren't likely the same as the ones you buy in a store). So that would be ~$9/bottle based on the 2.99/lb you mentioned, which i
