A very interesting idea of moving abroad to take advantage of cheaper labor. But, he suggests taking 9 months of prep time (6 to move there and try it out, 1 to vacation there and think about it, 2 to do research) before even starting the c

Nice use of qq.FileUploader. What are you using for those floating (top right) user notifications like when I delete a photo?

I'm confused. If Picwing was acquired, why is their site still active? Was something licensed? UPDATE: from http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/22/a-woman-a-cupcake-a-bank-an... PicPlum acquired the assets of a previous Y-Combinator company Pic

Off the topic of unclean code, but there are some great Spolsky articles that are more business-oriented on Inc's site: http://www.inc.com/author/joel-spolsky

I have a different view. I hate having to confirm my email address when I signup for a mailing list. It's more annoying to confirm my email address 50 times, versus the 1 time I have to unsubscribe from a list that someone signed me up for

Not related to Node, but your homepage is really well designed. Attractive, simple and clean. Nice.

So, you need 10 templates or just 10 HTML pages built from the same template? Is there a lot of front-end functionality that needs to be built (ajax calls, form validation, etc) or just basic HTML pages?

I agree, I rarely see more than two large CTAs on a page. Usually it's just one large CTA with smaller CTAs sprinkled on various parts of the page.

You are right: to give more prominence to the content as opposed to the callouts (follow us, and give us your email).

Can you share some basic marketing numbers? What price range is your PPC? What % of clicks convert? What is your customer's total lifetime value? Thanks!

The response I got from Meetup.com is below. The key bit is "You'll want to 'Edit email settings' for each Meetup group that you've joined." I'm in like 20+ groups; it makes unsubscribing a huge pain. 9/12/2010 I have a suggestion. I get ma

I agree, E2V is a great idea. If you can find a way to simplify the setup, I have about 6 friends who would want to use it. Could you pick the most popular email app (Gmail? Yahoo?) and find a way to simplify the setup for just that app? Or

Most designers/developers that I know that are good charge closer to $100 or $150 per hour. What you described seems like it would take closer to 30 or 40 hours, so I would say the cost would be more like $3k to $5k.

Sometimes a small rendering performance hit is worth avoiding the development headache of getting multi-column divs to display properly across browsers. Tables can still be useful when holding short content that has lots of columns.
