FYI if you want to get ride of the menu you can also have it hide. http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/bdbcffca-32a6-... It's nice, especially in full screen mode.

I read it as the author wanting to still display some sort of badge to credit the hotspot as being powered by freebsd but without the possibility of offending the customers... For example, one of the old badges without bestie the mascot. h

The article states that the people merely worked at MS. It's a big company, we the reader have no idea which product group they work in or if it's even related to WP7. I feel like the content of your comment is misleading.
