Not sure what your context is here, but I delete comments from time to time. It works fine as long as you get to it reasonably quickly and nobody has replied yet. From the FAQ: "What does [deleted] mean? The author deleted the post ou

Exactly my point: the same company wrote Rosetta and the new Settings. Clearly not the same level of talent and commitment in those two teams.

You need Shiny Inventions so you can divert the talent stream away from your competitors, more than to actually work on the ads. I'm sure there's some Shiny Invention Corner in the ads business -- let's call it "AI"

The hardware people certainly aren't: I think they're reveling in their newfound freedom to make the best, not just the thinnest, computers. But the software side? There seems to be a massive variance in both ability, and giving-

You can’t, but there are a large set of built-in emoji-like inline graphics in addition to the normal emojis. Some of them quite good but the selection seems a bit random. They are privileged over keyboard emojis in that they pop up for s

If you can find a tamarind sauce, that’s “instant interesting” for chicken IMO. Also great with shrimp. And if you like Indian-ish flavors, a few different jars of chutney/pickle go a long way towards un-blanding that kind of food. Not

That’s quite the generalization, and isn’t at all the typical pro-WFH attitude I see on HN. I’m pro-WFH and have WFH-d since 2009 but I’d love to go to the office more, if the office were nice and in the right place.

I’ve experienced the non-English thing in a few different contexts and while I love the diversity of languages and speak a few myself, I think not mandating an official language to be used in the office is a mistake. Your case is the obviou
