OK, if the part of the acquisition agreement with government is "QE if needed", then it makes sense to acquire CS to continue kicking the can forward.

Nothing? More like overleveraged $1T that can explode anytime? UBS should have been paid instead to take the CS corpse.

I couldn't get that one working with my controllers in VR (HP Reverb G2). I could see the initial screen and being seated in a cockpit, but nothing responded to anything I was doing.

MS Flight Simulator 2020 or Automobilista 2 are absolutely awesome VR games that can be controlled by keyboard only in real time and there is vorpX allowing older games to be played in VR. Surely, Alyx is slow, Hellblade has restricted move

In Electron apps you still have the boundary between frontend and backend, that means it's in its core a distributed app. If you don't like GUI builder, that's a fair opinion, but I do and don't want to waste my time on

It's not about styling, it was about how quickly one could develop a complete app by just following a few simple examples in docs. VCL + IDE literally guided you with very few things to learn. So a person uninterested in building UI bu

JavaScript is popular because people like half-baked hacky things that give them instant rush/feeling they can do something (i.e. show something basic in a browser). So much effort was spent on painting a lipstick on this pig or to rep

I was specifically mentioning building UI, i.e. the process of creating a set of screens with events to carry out the required functionality, which was what Delphi shined in. Web tech is about building distributed apps, so while you might r

Delphi designed in the 90s is still far superior to any web technology for building UI - you can make a complete standalone app in a few hours instead of weeks. IMO JavaScript was pushed by some large corps in order to commoditize developer

It's not, it uses locality-sensitive hashing to reduce attention complexity from O(n^2) to O(nlogn) while maintaining the same performance in 16GB as a best model that could fit into 100GB but nobody scaled it up to 1000 GPUs as its pu

I am surprised they allow only 32k tokens when Reformer can have context length of 1M on 16GB VRAM. It seems like they have some ways to optimize it further.
