I don't understand the algorithm. How can you cache any particular area, wouldn't other areas potentially affect it?

Oh so when the planet is between us and its star, it pulls the star towards us which blueshifts the light? That sounds hard to detect.

Couldn't any mass planet be going any speed at any distance around a star? I'm not sure why these factors would depend on mass.

I thought the article said they looked at how the stars light was dimmed by the planet. They also managed to do a spectrum analysis?

How does a real GC work? I can't picture how you can do GC without ref counts. (sorry if that's a dumb question)

Here's a potential solution. Computer monitors that appear to be say 500 ft away, but take up the equivalent field of view as your current monitor. I.E., it would appear you screen were being projected onto the side of a mountain, but as a

Wow that would be amazing. Any chance you could track down that article? Wouldn't such a cure be 10-20 years away? I mean they're just now having the first clinical trials for stem cell therapies developed 10 years ago, right?

Granted I just skimmed the article, but do they discuss the algorithm at all?? It seemed like they're just saying buzzwords, "parallel","gpu","vision is hard", etc. Does anyone know if a new CV algorithm is involved in this?
