Don't credit Microsoft for this, credit the fact that the PC is an open platform based on its legacy as an IBM PC clone. We need a good standardized phone and bootloader system so that software comes back into the control of users on c

It's not really open source which is something of a massive bummer, but still cool to see Facebook of all companies being the relative good guy.

Cast iron is actually pretty cheap.

Cast iron has three fatal flaws. It's heavy. It rusts. No dishwasher.

I got a pre seasoned one and beyond the care to make sure it doesn't rust it seems identical to Teflon to me. Lodge, got it from Walmart.

Apple already has the best chips, but in this case no one else would have them. Samsung is not doing fine, Nvidia switched off of them after a single generation because their process isn't very good.

> make them a less profitable company by not serving other companies? They become part of apple. With a stranglehold on chips the price of apple products as a whole, or their sales, will skyrocket.

Android used to have a niche. It did stuff that Apple didn't. Now all that stuff, minus only sideloading, has been eroded to nothing. You get subpar software. Subpar apps. Subpar privacy. Subpar hardware. For what? For nothing. Un

Webpack is the real offender and while vite is cool it isn't really a replacement for the decade or so standard, and looks like it requires a semi modern browser. I'll probably try it out some time for a home project, but for anyt
