As I understand it, this is a current limitation of Wayland. For KDE, which is what I use, they'll be writing something too handle this since it's not possible natively.

> current T460s has really started feeling slow in the last year Been there; web sites are rather heavy nowadays and two cores, combined with everything else running on the system, just can't keep up anymore.

For better or worse, I think Wayland is here to stay and that's where all the development is going.

Don't feel too bad; I too am on the latest AMD 7040 hotness via a ThinkPad and the BIOS here is garbage too as it relates to Linux.

Whenever I see something like this I'm always reminded about Theo de Raadt's, of OpenBSD fame, opinion on the topic: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=119318909016582

I love my Chrome machines; they really are diamonds in the rough for simple tasks, and you can take them much further with the built-in Linux VM/environment.

It's the most expensive one at https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpadp/th... . I got it on sale for less than the current price.

I just bought a brand new AMD ThinkPad with 64GB of memory for a good deal less than the 8GB Mac. No thank you.

I think it's better said as "We have a dang," in the same context as "We have a Hulk."

This is on point for Stable releases of Debian and is working as intended. However, there are many of us that run the Testing or Unstable releases of Debian. While this might not be the ideal way to run Debian, it is a way to run Debian wit

Fair, but there's no ETA and the author is fairly upbeat in his write up, and his system is barely even usable.

For what it's worth, the latest ThinkPads don't have S3 as an option in the BIOS anymore.

I have a similar Gen 4 machine, but in P14s form, and all is well with the exception of sleep and wake up. I'm hoping that gets addressed quickly with some BIOS and kernel updates.

I'd love to say the unrelated apps bought ads, but that's not the case. The Play Store clearly denotes when there's an ad in your search results, but the vast majority of the unrelated apps have no ads.

I noticed the same with the search results in the Google Play Store. When you use search to try to find an app that matches your search term, you almost always get very unrelated apps in the results, and the only good explanation to it is t

Love KDE! Thank you for the excellent work! The release of the abomination known as Windows 11 has really given a lot of people the opportunity to evaluate new, and better, things!
