you have described my experience succinctly and eloquently. it is a profound event that feels like a whole-body centering. thank you for this.

i usually post here first, and then add to the homepage later. i'll fix that next couple of days.

agree that the "clock of life" is a strange beast, when compared to the clock on the wall. i try to quit paying too much attention to the latter, and time becomes more nuanced and textured.

good points. the first could have been a better choice, or a better explanation. the second? that's a much longer piece about the three brains and how we integrate them.

there are two: Pirsig's "Zen..." and Thoreau's "Walden...." the quality which is defined is not the quality, and the sun is but a morning star. iykyk. no posturing intended, just answering the d*n question.

Yeah, but weird, interesting byproducts. Whether we're better than the beef byproducts in bologna is still up for debate sometimes, I guess.

Just didn't have enough to say to pay all that for a big-ass server. GitHub mobile app means I can update my site while sitting in conferences listening to boring rehash speeches.

Guess it's time to cut and run. I've been mirroring Gmail with Proton paid for a couple of years now. Don't use the HTML version, but might as well kick Google to the curb.

simply not true. i've tried several times to get ChatGPT to write working emacs lisp. it rarely can write anything long, even after i correct it five or six times. anything to push the price down and the profits up, i guess.
