Videos over messaging are a different problem space from the one outlined in this article. The number of people watching a messaged video is low; latency might be the topline metric the team optimizes for, since it has a big effect on wheth

Depends on the use. For low distortion, tubes fare better because their operating point is more linear than any single transistor. Ge doesn't make a huge difference here iirc. Outside their operating point is another story. As said els

Incitement isn't permitted by any interpretation of the 1st amendment. The current state of affairs offers nothing more granular than shutting down all of Parler in response to their failure to moderate this speech effectively.

I can't imagine a director like Fincher ever taking it into consideration, but compressibility is a real issue that modern filmmakers should aspire to keep in mind. I ran into this dealing with marketing folks at [bigtechco] where bitr

Sort of? On the one hand, they were a cultural byword for a morally degraded profession at the time. "Tax collectors and prostitutes" is a phrase that comes up not infrequently in the gospels, and not just out of Jesus' mouth

I think it's more a matter of expertise/experience than size. The different platform teams have to have gelled enough to agree on the core architectural abstractions, which is a level of maturity that goes a step beyond necessity.

I hate these articles that feature a programmer who works within a certain domain and assume all programming tasks are similar. Citation needed? Last I checked, Graham was working on a C64 Smalltalk80 VM as a side project, so I presume he

What makes it work? I see the web content, but driving web content to Amazon would make the site pointless. It seems like Amazon's prices are higher, though. Is it direct sales?

Well, doing some quick googling.... Rule of thumb for a boat motor is 1hp for each 40-50lbs of weight. Say conservatively that you're 160-200lbs like myself, that's 4hp minimum. Solar panels are ~15w/ft^2. 4hp = 2983w, which
