Literally all I want from Apple is a year (or multiple) spent laser focused tackling tech debt and improving software performance.

Oh absolutely. It feels like a worthwhile architectural framing to understand and draw from as appropriate. To me I think - my end goal is being able to think more deeply about my domains and how to model them. Thanks for the recommendation

Of those 3 DDD books - which did you find the most valuable?

I completely agree. I do everything I can to avoid leaded ammunition. I do not want lead touching the meat I harvest. It can be really tricky to find lead-free ammo of certain sizes. I mostly use waterfowl ammo for upland bird and rabbit -

I love `—-dry-run` flags for CLI tooling I build. If you plan your applications around this kind of functionality upfront - then I find it doesn’t have to pollute your code too much. In a language like Go or Rust - I’ll use a option/bu

Why would you pollute SpaceX’s valuation by coupling it with a toxic asset like xAi?

All of this is true and I agree with you - but this comment comes off a bit disrespectful.

FWIW my 4070 Ti Super has had zero headaches in Linux. It’s only older Nvidia cards I’ve had issues with. Seems like there was a major driver change starting with the RTX 20xx series.

Even PVP is starting to “just work” via Proton. Arc Raiders runs just fine on Linux and is a strictly PvP game. Over time I think this will be less and less of a problem.

Been following this for a little bit and am extremely excited for this. I think the final big hurdle for adoption (for those of use in the MapLibre stack at least) will be getting an equivalent As_MLT() function added to PostGIS.

We have mail voting as a default in Colorado. When you get your license you are registered to vote and opted in automatically. The one piece that might improve it further is if it came with a stamp to mail back. Otherwise you just drop it o

Should we crowdfund some billboards in Cupertino expressing how big a misstep we collectively think Tahoe/iOS 26/Liquid glAss was?

Bazzite is my first immutable distro. Idk that I would want this for my dev machine - but for a gaming/general desktop usage it’s pretty amazing. If they exposed more of the maintenance tooling and stuff like adding RPM layers via the

That was my experience like a year and a half ago too. I switched back with the new year (and also realizing it finally went 1.0 around Thanksgiving). It’s only been a few days but it’s been totally stable so far!

Also I had never heard of Brave Origin before. This is interesting. I suppose it depends on price but I may consider switching to this on Windows and Linux when it’s available.

Ah - I just did not realize that privacy pass was available as extension to other browsers but of course that makes sense. It’s built in to Orion. You still have to enable it when you switch to private tabs. It’d be nice if it was automatic

Are you talking about on macOS or iOS? On macOS I think the 1Password extension has always worked for me? At least it definitely does now. What issues did you have with it? On iOS I don’t use the extension - I’ve got 1Password set up as my

Kagi is a pretty small team and they’ve got a LOT on their plate. Orion started on macOS and was in development for 6 years before finally hitting their 1.0 release in November. Give it time - I’m sure they’d love to support just about ever

Orion has come an extremely long ways on iOS and macOS. I daily drove it for a couple months maybe a year and a half ago and it had a lot of little rough edges and was slightly broken on a number of websites. I’ve picked it up again as my d

Is the ambition to lift this out of Deno? Bun brings its own standard lib too right? Are the two coordinating at all?

Why is JS, in particular, so deeply afflicted with these issues? Why hasn’t there been an effort to create a more robust standard library? Or at least first party libraries maintained by the JavaScript team? That way folks can pull in trust

FWIW - GOG and Epic games play just fine via the Heroic app on Bazzite. I’ve only played a few games from those platforms so far - but it’s been as seamless as playing games off steam in my experience.
