Better idea: get stoned. You’re less likely to engage in reckless activities on cannabis compared to alcohol. At least, that’s been my experience in this situation.

Serious question: what do you want that much bandwidth for? I could upgrade from 100Mb/s to 1Gb/s but I haven’t because honestly can’t think of a use case for myself.

I’ve had this thought floating around in my head for a while, and it seems wrong, but I’m not completely sure why. I’m hoping someone more knowledgeable might be able to set me straight. Prices on the coasts — like 5k rent — are astronomica

Spot-on predictions! If I predict this coin flip will be heads, and I flip it, and it is heads… does that mean I can predict coin flips? What if I do it three times in a row? What if I do it 10 times in a row? [1] [1]: https://yo

Trusting foundations is the only way anything in computing gets done. If I’m at the point where I’m debugging 3rd party code, a little bit of unfamiliar Python syntax is the least of my problems.

At my company, the analytics APIs are provided by a platform team. I think there’s some utility in a company owning an abstraction away from a third party. Supposing if Amplitude (or Heap) were to ever go under, or if we were to want to cha

When I was younger, I would always skip over those kinds of long, windy paragraphs full of visual descriptions. It’s like noise to me. I do have a sort of movie playing in my head, but it’s not really a visual or auditory experience. It’s m

Even if you use Amplitude, this could still be helpful information. I’m not sure what kind of APIs Amplitude provides, but we use it at my job. In my work, the details of Amplitude are abstracted away such that this information is still hig

The author discusses the sequential leaps towards functional programming: from mixins, to HOCs, to render props, and finally to hooks. I’m very comfortable with hooks, but I’m not much of a functional programmer beyond that. So my question
