I smell a rat. It's pretty common for spammers to create an account on public forums, let it sit for 30-60 days, and then come in and create a generic, link-bait style post which they later use to post links in (once the post has been arou

I think the article's author confuses a perfectionist with a workaholic. A perfectionist isn't by definition a workaholic and vice-versa yet the article seems to infer that your perfectionists are killing your productivity. Look - I'm guilt

To expand on that a bit, you need to have 90 day and one year milestones at a minimum . You also need a strong Buy/Sell that includes what happens to your/partner's stock when you/he die/divorce/quit-working-for-the-company/etc. Lawyers ar

Great examples. I think functionality overrides appearance, at least until competition steps in. Reddit and YC are examples of spartan design but great loyalty among readers young and old. It's the idea and the execution first followed by t

Why threadjack when you could've created a separate thread? This guy made a post and you totally are trying to threadjack. Make your own"Ask YC" thread and post it there.

With what basis do you have to say $20m is a weak offer? I'm not clear on what numbers you are using to base your view on. I'm not privvy to the internals at Xobni so I couldn't even guess whether $1m is weak let alone $20m.

Maybe it's just me but I couldn't begin to guess what the best advice I've ever received is/was. I'm only 37 but I'm guessing that there have been 1000 pieces of great advice that, if I hadn't received, I'd be far worse off.

I would estimate that there are just as many startups using .NET than all the other languages combined. And when I say startups, I mean serious ventures; I'm not talking about some guy with a day job who writes a front end for Amazon or GoD
