It 'sucks' because you expect to be completely babysitted and that doesn't happen ? Besides the fact it has helped millions of programmers billions of times ? That's plain ridiculous.

Well, okay then, i will take your precise data as a fact. All these scientists with their fake-data must surely be liars.

I never play games because of the story. If i want a good story i will go for books. If the gameplay and the atmosphere is fine, the game is fine (for me)

I think the iOS Books from Big Nerd Ranch are really worth the money. Just build an app while you are reading it, and at the end you should have a solid fundament to continue learning. Also the Stanford online courses are really really good

I am really not at all wealthy (plus i have to provide for my family), but as a developer, i am always completely surprised about the peoples penny-pinching if it comes to paying for good tools. If you use good tools, you can identify with

Can confirm fundamentals. The longer i work as a developer, the more i see the importance to have a grip of the basics. For me this is mysql, linux, math rather than new frameworks, languages and build tools.

No, this isnt a joke. The reaction of the audience showed that clearly. How pityfull they shook their head to confirm how "sad" a five year old windows computer is. That part of the keynote was really so ugly-spoiled-hipster-narro

This probably also means Unity3d will soon be able to use an updated version of Mono, because Microsoft wants to back them and doesn't force them to pay the full licence price.

I would recommend learning steps like this: + Update your php knowledge to modern standards. (i.e. autoloader) + Learn just some sass and use bootstrap 3. + Use something like laravel as a php framework or even smaller like slim + DONT get

I also miss a usecase. And speaking of the homepage: This looks untransparent and unfriendly. I think the laravel homepage is extremly well made. Clean and very good documentation which you can use all the time without getting angry. http

The reason for all this, despite the "man, js is terrible / slow" argument, is just that there are a lot of web-developers out there, with a big bag of tools, frameworks and "to-js"-compilers, wanting to create some

The most important thing is to be REALLY INTERESTED in other persons. Talking to the other gender without real interest is boring and a waste of time for both sides. Besides that, BE INTERESTED in talking and expression itself. Start small
