Basically, yeah. It's just a web app. Unless that was supposed to be taken as Socratic and you think it does something more?

Okay, but if I'm producing widgets, every widget I produce is transported over roads and uses public resources. So you can make the argument that because each transaction uses those, a sales tax is justifiable. On the other hand, if

I do think we should "get government out of the tax code" to a serious extent in that it shouldn't be in the business of taxing income, payroll, capital gains, etc. Calculate expenses / adult population and send each ad

It's a pain-and-a-half. I'm not sure any system ever recovers fully, but you basically run chmod -R's on most of the important directories and then fix the many services that will surely fail once you can get a shell. More s

I'm not making an emotional appeal, I'm making a logical one. Choice means I get to pick what I want to do and choose what's best for me. For instance, many unions give money to the Republican party, the Democratic party, or

Why thankfully? Don't workers' rights mean they ought to make their own choices about joining a union or not?

Maybe run `sudo chmod -R 000 /` instead. Can't get charged with destroying any data, but it's a huge pain to get a system working again from that. Only done it twice; hope never to do so again.

Hmm, GDPR thought experiment: I make a database of public IPv4s by running a couple for-loops and subtracting private spaces. Can an EU guy who owns an IPv4 request to have it removed?

Swift is an interesting language choice for something like this. As far as I am aware, support is non-existent outside of Ubuntu and OSX, so it seems limiting compared to, say, C.

Another issue caused by hyperthreading. It's starting to look more and more like the OpenBSD guys made the right choice by turning it off. At this point, I think the only other option is for OS guys to implement some kind of security

There are physical reasons for that; reproductive organs have tons of extra nerves to make it so. That's not true of mouths; the reaction would have to be psychological. Tongues are there to taste food.

I can't believe any respectable school would let in a CS grad student without calculus. Linear algebra is really important, too, but you have to know calculus to do much of the math behind circuits. Good for you for doing it even tho
