I'd agree that outside of California it might be problematic, but we have so much renewable in the grid it'd be trivial to do properly. I also think using excess power to remove carbon is ultimately a good idea.

At the end of the day - does it matter where it came from? They could be like Tesla and build a solar arm, or a wind farm, or do geothermal. You could pull it out of the grid and it'd still be better for the environment than pulling it

Having done a lot of cross platform work, this is pretty neat. I'm still laughing about calling it "Volkswagen Mode" though.

That is topkeks to see you advertising your HN post on FB. I really gotta ask why though...

Electron isn't truly cross platform, I'd suggest trying Python with QT, its pretty snazzy and can run in a small footprint.

Whats smart about this? Its less flexible than ansible, requires BASH and hardcoded passwords?

I thought this issue was already dealt with. I can't wait to make a youtube video of me doing a silly walk and then having some video game company copy it for a lot of money...

I don't think so, if they have its never been serious contact. I get tons of shady offers all the time, I usually delete them.

I don't disagree. This is why I personally avoid places that aren't 100% vegan or don't have serious published food handling guidelines. Someone's laziness could kill someone.

I've had a personal website online since around 1996. I make sure its offensive and hilarious. This is not a new issue lol.

You can solve some of the issues via technology but they can hinder your employees. Basically you have to get people onboard so that you're working towards a shared goal, and that doesn't happen a lot... Security management is a r

You could, but it'd be harder to do accidentally which is where most of the GitHub databreaches happen.

The easiest way is to use GitHub Enterprise. If thats too expensive, use GitHub CE. Both can be run in AWS cheaply and securely especially if you require VPN access to your VPC.

They could easily make their fries Vegan in the US, yet they haven't. I doubt they'll really bring it here.

I wonder if this will turn into a "food weaselwords" debate with the FTC. Its basically going to take a concerted study and some food-lab time.

Its shared equipment so the effect is the same (grill/broil). I believe you have to hit around 1600F to denature the proteins so "ash" is really more like "crispy protein". If you look at the output side you'll

GitHub is large enough now that its a supplychain liability. Much like the recent Docker Hub compromise, its a juicy target for everyone's infrastructure and its only a matter of time before something big happens.

Typically vegans don't eat Honey so most do care. There are a lot of vegans who don't eat products with Palm Oil in them because of how bad it is for habitats. I agree 100% that its not the same but its also not Vegan.

I guess its the difference of intent vs the outcome. Yes, you didn't ask for meat but you got some anyways and if you're fine with that, thats cool. If there's meat juice on your vegan burger even by accident its not vegan, I
