Absolutely agreed. One thing that really concerns me is that the newest generation of web developers really has no idea that web development doesn’t need to be so bloody complex. I’m working on a simple internal enterprise app for managing

Apple walling it off would actually be them completely disabling it. They are merely providing the user with the information and option to disable it. Very different from walking off. It’s not equivalent to what Facebook wants.

I had an interview a few years ago where they literally hauled out some of their legacy code (unstructured PHP written in the PHP 4 era), and asked me to make a list of what I'd do to clean it up and make it more manageable. No coding

You may find more value digging into why the grandparent (And many others here) didn’t find value from the demo and propositions on your home page, than arguing with us here. One of the most important concepts I learned doing 100’s of pitch

Why is it silly that Americans and the US government would make a distinction between a US-based company and a Chinese company? The CCP certainly makes this distinction.

This stat is disingenuous when used out of context. The bottom 45% still pay SS/payroll taxes, which is quite regressive due to the $127k cap. When you consider that along with consumption and property taxes, their effective rate of
