You can authenticate more than one device. At least with Google accounts in the past. Meanwhile I use Titanium backup to backup authenticator and restore it on a different device.

This doesn't help if the bank shows your linked phone number when logged in. You could also buy a dual SIM phone and buy a throwaway sim card with a phone number you do not share.

We should refuse to be blackmailed by him. If he is that bad, those refugees are in danger in his hands. Europe has several rich countries that can easily handle the amount of refugees held hostage in Turkey.

It seems you are talking about Germany. Please name one neighbourhood in Germany "not accessible to the police".

Are telephone providers in the US allowed to sell the data about who you called when, how often and how long? If not, why not? Should be possible to monetize that.

The reason they usually do not tell you is that cell networks on the ground do not handle phones well that are visible in too many wide spread out cell towers. If planes were in danger because of turned on phones they would check for them m

How can I find out which services I have accounts with are using cloudflare? Or better have been using cloudflare in recent months? Assume I have a list of domains, where I have accounts.

Yeah. But I cannot change these policies. I am not even a US citizen. So I have to wipe all my devices clean before crossing the border. Or risk confiscation. Because there is no way (except torture) they will get any of my passwords. I won

As far as I can tell, the Opal project does not have a CoC so this is a bad example for "witch hunting based on CoC".

I am really curious: What is the reasoning to allow this to happen to US citizens?

That must be new. It wasn't part of esta two years ago. I would be totally unable to produce all my aliases in all the services I have accounts. I wouldn't even be able to remember all the services.

Only if you're accused of a crime, right? Which is not the case here. They just want to search your data. Although if you're not a citizen they will probably not let you enter the country.

What is the worst that can happen to a non US citizen, who is not producing the passwords they demand? Being send back immediately and all belongings seized? Or only devices they do not get the decryption passwords for? Detainment for ho

It is none of my employers business whether I was arrested. It might OK, to be informed about convictions for certain crimes for certain jobs. Knowing this absolutely has a chilling effect.

It is actually quite common to only hash passwords server side. Not on the client. edit: Never mind. Parent was about storing not about sending passwords in clear text.

It is FUD, because droffel claims no private tx could be mined.

The ticket says "In some cases, some transactions with joinsplits do not get mined." So this does not prove droffels point. He said all tx with only z-addresses could not be mined. Any other source for this claim?

I am sure, you're mistaken. I just created and executed a tx with only z-addresses with zcashd version 1.0.1. It was mined and can be found on the block exlorer. Please stop spreading FUD about zcash.
