I'm excited to use the pipeline operator but I was burned when I adopted a library ( https://github.com/danprince/zaphod ) which used the function bind operator only to find that lost major steam in TC39 process

Out team chose Datomic for it's graph like properties and emphasis on data locality. This is optimal for GraphQL style patterns where you'd otherwise join a million tables

Datomic "on premise" version is not dependent on any AWS services and can be run on any box using vanilla java

You can use Next.js to do server-side only rendering. It uses React idioms for rendering in favor of vanilla templating

Lets think about this from the opposite direction: Which projects on the web are the MOST successful? Facebook? Twitter? Gmail? Github? Do ANY of those giants use big, all-encompassing super libraries? NOPE
