There's Fermat's Library [1] which allows for collaborative annotation on pdfs. The only issue I have with them is that they lack highlighting and aren't open source. With PDF annotation, why not separate the content from the

You don't have to go through the complete search space if it turns out optimal strategies are sparse. What do I mean by that? Take a second-price auction: the dominant strategy here is to always bid your true value. Meanwhile, the sear

I believe with respect to game theory, solving a game like Go would require finding a strategy that obeys the one shot deviation principle. The result would rather be boring to watch however, because the conclusion of every game played unde

That’s the point of PDFs and EPUBs. If you want resizable PDFs, use EPUB which is an organized and compressed version of HTML. Edit. I think the reason you lose quality during conversion is because without the original LaTeX code, you’re ju

Given that it’s parsing from a textarea, can TeXMe be used as an editor? I think some contenteditable editors have the rendering from markdown as well.

How do you feel about ProseMirror, and what browser WYSIWYG editor did you work on if you don't mind? I'm using it right now to build a personal notes editor, but there isn't much open source components to model my custom nod

I've been looking at the ProseMirror as a way of building this meta-editor that could have plug-and-play components. The issue is, although the library is open-source, there hasn't been many open-sourced components that people hav

If you search 'Markdown' on HackerNews, it'd seem like the 'market' for markdown editors is fragmented: there isn't a single dominant editor yet. I think every week there's a new editor posted (Joplin is a

There's a backstory to this paper from the r/math subreddit [1]. One of the authors initially posted the question there, and stumbling upon a similar question on math overflow emailed Terry Tao. And surprisingly, he responded. [1]

It's not an editor, but ProseMirror is something that I'd recommend checking out if you wanted to build a web-based WYSIWYG markdown editor with possibly extended features. There's also Notion.so. Both of these aren't ex
