You should care if your code's license is being violated by being reproduced without attribution. Undermining OSS's licenses can ultimately weaken it, and the cynic in me suspects MS is fully aware of this.

Yes, another good reason to use something like https://github.com/hnrss/hnrss instead of depending on a (very transitory) front page.

Even better would be for the compressor/limiter to detect whether the source is music, dialogue or explosion and adjust its parameters accordingly. Come on Apple, make it smarter!

Most home theater systems are in a home where the noise floor is significantly higher than a theater, which the audio mix was targeting. Dynamic range compression is often appropriate and when applied correctly improves the experience in ho

> The Apple TV has a setting called "reduce loud sounds" This does help, but at some point Apple increased the compressor’s release time so that it’s far too quiet even 10-15s after the loud transient. I wish they would make it

Also have an original Xbox but it’s a v1.6, in which MS managed to break JSRF and a few other games due to using a different video encoding chip. Very annoying (though on the plus side, no leaking clock capacitor). Thanks for pointing out B

It really means "tell the app to size its window to fit the content" so the effect is not always to fill the screen. It's so inconsistently implemented that they might as well just make it work like maximize on Windows.

Sadly some WD drives specced as 5400RPM are actually 7200RPM. Luckily, acoustics don't lie: https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/ikk0rv/psa_mul...

And you can easily search yourself all the things T** has said about Obama. The difference is that what Obama said is largely accurate (though, to be fair, T** is only a wannabe two-bit dictator)

The relatively few times Obama has spoken out have been for respect of the office . T**, by contrast, will blather every day in feeble attempts to deflect, distract and divide.

I always laugh when vinyl is described as more “pure”. There’s nothing more pure than math, and that’s digital PCM audio. Sure, it’s stored as discreet samples, but that’s not how it comes out of speakers. The digital->analog converter w

I think the speed advantage is more due to the I/O controller that Sony's made a big deal of, where data can get to RAM or GPU without having to interrupt the CPU. Those interrupts can cause a domino effect with Windows doing god-
