NASA isn't investing in SpaceX, though, right? They're just paying SpaceX for services rendered.

Don't forget a very good reason gTLDs are a scam: it's a land-grab by the enormously wealthy—those who can afford the opening bid of $185,000—that shuts out the plebes like you and I.

And you can clean that stuff up with the disk cleanup app. You don't need to retain those old install files forever.

Thank you for pointing that out. I suspect many of us in this thread are referring simply to the single parameter to BCrypt.gensalt as the "work factor" or "number of rounds" interchangeably. And you're right, the

I hate to suggest that your observation is wrong, but 16 rounds should take orders of magnitude more time than 1ms. 16 rounds using Mindrot's Java implementation of BCrypt on my admittedly old 2009-vintage i7 consumes 6.3 seconds to h

I too will give Spartan a chance, and in likelihood will use it predominantly on my tablets and laptop (since I use IE 11 in those contexts today). On the desktop, I presently remain a Mozilla partisan, sticking with Firefox through thick a

Amusing. It does, however, kick over to a proper layout when the width is narrower. I had originally read this article on my Windows Phone and it rendered just fine. It also renders fine in desktop IE if you make the window narrow.

Which ironically is the reason I most often hear from Gmail advocates/apologists for why they advocate Gmail over running your own e-mail server. I don't disagree. E-mail is a mess. Still, on the whole, for any person or organ

Be that as it may, I am not sure what to do at this point. Had I controlled the Internet at large last year, I would have shut down the gTLD concept straight away as an unfair practice favoring well-healed corporations allowing them to ach

I am no fan of the search engine company named after a misspelling of a very large number. But nevertheless, in reading this article I immediately felt that I had missed something fundamental in my understanding of gTLDs: I had never pre
